About UXD Systems

Understand the systems behind modern interfaces.

UXD Systems is an independent interactive learning platform for exploring how modern design systems work. It brings foundations, components, patterns, design tokens, accessibility guidance, and cross-system comparisons into one structured learning environment.

Learn from the source. Understand the decisions.

The goal is not to replace official documentation. UXD Systems helps designers and developers understand the principles behind leading systems and then directs them to authoritative sources for implementation-specific guidance.

How content is labeled

Official guidance
A concise paraphrase of what a linked primary source explicitly documents.
Explanation
A simplified teaching model used to make a concept easier to inspect and practice.
Analysis
UXD Systems' interpretation of why an approach is useful, what it reveals, or where its boundaries sit.
Comparison
A normalized view across systems that preserves platform, product, and implementation context.

Research and source policy

Official documentation, component references, accessibility guidance, repositories, and design resources are the primary evidence. Each profile shows when evidence was checked, which areas were reviewed, and direct links to the current sources.

Browse the complete source directory and editorial log.

When an exact detail cannot be confirmed, UXD Systems stays general. Visual examples are educational approximations and are never presented as drop-in implementations or official assets.

Consistent analysis model

Every profile is normalized through fourteen dimensions: target environment, platform strategy, foundations, tokens, components, patterns, accessibility, adaptivity, content, documentation, governance, design-to-code, learning value, and tradeoffs. The same labels make differences inspectable without implying that every system is structured the same way.

Review standard

A profile is reviewed when its claims can be traced to public primary documentation and its analysis distinguishes evidence from interpretation. Dates describe the UXD Systems review—not the release date of every linked system. Source products can change after review, so implementation work should always confirm the current official documentation.
